FPS Gameplay Test

This is a short little test that I made to test my game design skills in. I worked with a programmer to help me create a simple character controller as well as a few weapons.

I wanted to try out a variety of things, but my main focus was on recreating a retro-shooter game (like doom or quake) in unity. I worked closely with the programmer to create a simple hud to convey information like health and ammo. We also worked to create some simple animations for equipping and switching weapons. I also, as previously mentioned worked on how certain guns should function. I created some concepts for the guns and explained to the programmer how they should work. Then we spent time working out the fine details. Finally, I would use the completed weapon and spend some time balancing it. Overall, this helped me get a better understanding of working with a game programmer to realize a vision.
